Brownbread Rescue Chosen for National Feed Trials

Earlier in the year we were approached by “Saracen Horse Feeds” to conduct a feeding trial for two of their new products. Ten horses took part in the trial that lasted several weeks. Photographs were taken of each animal before and after and every week each animal was assessed by its weight and recorded.

There was absolutely no doubt in our minds that these two new products were amazing and this is the letter sent to Saracen at the end of the trials:-

Dear Saracen

Thank you for asking us to take part in your feed trials We are always receptive to any ideas for horse feed that will both maintain and improve the well being of our rescued horses and ponies. We are very grateful for the opportunity to try out the different feeds on our stock and were absolutely amazed at the tremendous difference that both the feedstuffs made on those equines in the trial.

Within just a few weeks all the participants put on weight and had a healthy shine to their coats. Both the young and old benefited in having the Saracen food before the onset of winter. There is no doubt that this has fortified them ready to face the long winter in the best of health. Some of the older horses that were lacking teeth had their Saracen food pre-soaked and this proved very successful! One sure sign that they enjoyed the taste was noticeable at meal times when their eagerness was obvious and they tucked in with enthusiasm. Saracen, truly this is fabulous food that has persuaded us to rethink our 30 years of traditional feeding.

Sincerely
